Why you must have a jar of flour next time you go to the beach

Flour can be useful not only in the kitchen, but it turns out that it is also worth taking with you to the beach. And not as a substitute for sand, if there is none.

You will not bake or mould anything with it either. The reason is completely different. And although the idea seems at least strange and absurd, it makes life much easier.

Once you try it, you’ll always pack a small jar of flour into your beach bag. It can be regular wheat flour, but corn or potato flour will also work. In fact, any flour will do, but it’s best to choose the cheapest one. And if you don’t have a jar on hand, you can always use a plastic container or even a bag, as long as you tie it well.

Theoretically, you don’t need many things when going to the beach. In practice, the bag is often bursting at the seams. Despite this, it’s worth finding a place for some flour. It will come in handy when sunbathing or after getting out of the water. Just sprinkle it on your body to get rid of sand particles.

This simple trick really works. If you are tired of sand sticking to your feet, hands or belly, use regular flour. Because it absorbs water, you can easily remove all the dirt. Just shake it and the sand will come off without a problem.

Flour is also useful for chafing and rashes, which are easy to get in the summer. If you rub it into the irritated areas of your thighs, armpits, or under your breasts, you will quickly feel relief. In emergency situations, many people also use it as an alternative to dry shampoo or antiperspirant. Of course, we do not recommend it for everyday use.

Also remember to stock up on water, apply sunscreen and cover your head with a cap or hat when relaxing on the beach. Even then, it is not recommended to stay in full sun for too long.
