The Miss South African organisation has been urged to reinforce security around their Miss SA finalist Chidinma Vanessa Adetshina.
Chidinma has been attacked on social media; she’s faced cyberbullying and hatred for participating in the Miss South Africa pageant.
The finalist’s Nigerian root, despite being born in SA triggered tons of people as they demanded for her disqualification in the competition.
Taking to Twitter a few concerened persons called out the Miss SA organisers to protect the young model.
“Dear @Official_Miss, you need to reinforce security around Chidimma as a contestant of yours. I expect you fully understand the xenophobia that happens in SA is never just verbal.Do not fail her. There’s too much evil in this place,” a tweep wrote.
Another recounted how Lucky Dube was killed due to similar issue.
“Discovered recently that Lucky Dube a South African was killed because the murderers thought he was Nigerian, reads the tweet.

I’ve said what I needed to. 🙏🏽 it’s up to the organisation to protect this lady from all this harassment. This is actually very scary considering the femicide rates in SA. For those saying I’m being dramatic, you clearly don’t know your own country folk. 💔 muting now. 👍🏽
