Unsightly, yellow stains on pillows not only spoil the look of bedding, but can also pose a health risk, as harmful microorganisms can grow on the dirty surface.

Is there an effective and natural method to get rid of these unwanted stains? It turns out that there is – using common tansy can be helpful.

Yellow stains on pillows, which appear primarily as a result of excessive sweating, are a problem that affects both men and women. The situation can also be worsened by inappropriate bedding material – synthetic fabrics do not allow the skin to breathe, which can aggravate the problem.

High temperatures, such as those we experience in the summer, definitely do not help the situation.

Yellow stains on pillows are not just an aesthetic issue. Bacteria and mold that can grow inside them can negatively affect our health. That’s why it’s so important to wash both the covers and the pillows as soon as possible.

But is there a way to effectively remove these unwanted stains without using chemical cleaning agents? It turns out that there is. A natural product that can be extremely effective is tansy vinegar.

Common tansy is a plant known for its healing, disinfecting and anti-inflammatory properties. Just a dozen or so twigs of this plant are enough to prepare a natural remedy for discoloration on pillows.

Preparing tansy vinegar is relatively simple. Cut the tansy twigs into smaller pieces, then place them in a jar, add mother of vinegar or apple cider vinegar and water with added sugar.

After 2-3 weeks, you can use the ready-made product to spray your pillows and pillowcases. Leave the product for 12 hours, then wash the bedding at 50-70 degrees Celsius. The result? Your pillows will look like new.

Remember, however, that the longer you wait to clean the pillows from yellow stains, the harder it will be to get rid of them. It is best to refresh the bedding regularly, especially in the summer, when sweating is much greater. This will not only improve the appearance of our bedroom, but also take care of our health.
