Musa Mthombeni sets the record straight following rumors about how he finances traveling with his wife, Liesl Laurie.
Since the couple tied the knot, they’ve visited various countries for vacation.
Musa and Liesl’s travels have been a topic of discussion on social media as some critics are triggered by the fun they are having.
It was rumored months ago that Musa won a lottery of R32 million, hence he is able to sponsor the trips.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the Doctor slammed the rumors and further talked about why he travel with his wife to other countries.
“Liesl and I have been traveling religiously over the past year not because we want to see the world, but because the world wants to see us. It’s not our fault that embassies across the world call us and request we come spend money we don’t have to boost their economies. The global recession is here,” he wrote.
“Now, I’ve heard and read the rumour that we have won the Lotto. I’d like to emphatically deny these rumours and allegations and label them as lies and fake news that are being distributed only to tarnish my reputation and name. The reality is that we are just financially irresponsible. Plain and simple. Mashonisa ngapha, 2 pot system withdrawals ngale. We are finishing the YOTV pension funds. We want a fresh start. Iyangena-Iyaphuma!”
“When you hear these rumours please treat them with the same disdain and you do when you hear the other false stories about who my dad is. Nna my dad is chilling in the Vaal looking after his granddog, Cashew, whilst his parents pray and hope no one shows up to take the 3rd seat in their row 53 row of seats.”
