We had various events that made headlines, but we are here to bring to your face some of the biggest stories that you might have missed out on.


Let’s start with Chidinma Adetshina’s Saga: Chidinma who made it to the final phase of Miss South Africa 2024 has voluntarily withdrawn from the competition following months of being cyberbullied and cancelled on social media due to her Nigerian roots. The 23-year-old gave up on her dreams after the Home Affairs Department found out that her mother was involved in fraud years ago.

Shebeshxt’s Return: The musician raised brows early this week after announcing his first music concert which is themed My Music, My Story. Shebeshxt was expected to be off the radar due to the death of her daughter.

Mihlali Ndamase and Leeroy Sidambe’s Drama: The alleged couple got social media busy this week after Mihlali revealed that she was abused by her estranged lover. Leeroy replied to the accusation with a statement which said that the influencer sustained bruises while he was trying to protect himself against her, as she held a knife to stab him due to an alleged infidelity.

Tyla trended for hours after US streamer Kai Cenat played an unreleased track which featured the South African singer, Rema and 21 Savage.

Pastor Mboro’s video went viral on social media which granted him a spot on the trending list, as he was seen wielding a cutlass while threatening some people whose identities are unknown. The pastor was then arrested. While he was busy facing the law, some angry learners went to his church and vandalised it, ensuring it got burnt to the ground.

Kelvin Momo gave South Africans a perfect weekend with the release of his 5th body of work titled Sewe. The project is highly talked about on social media with positive reviews.

We conclude this article by honouring Veteran actress Connie Chiume, whose death shook the industry as she was of great impact to the industry.

Connie who is 72-year-old died in a private hospital at Johannesburg, but cause of death wasn’t revealed. South Africans celebrated her legacy as they paid tribute to her on various social media platforms.
