Chidinma Adetshina has reportedly attempted to take her life following her withdrawal from the Miss South Africa competition.
The 23-year-old was bullied and demanded to exit the competition due to her Nigerian roots despite being born in SA.
Chidinma was focused on the pageant but decided to leave after the Home Affairs department revealed that her mother was involved in fraud case many years ago.
On Sunday night, Mia Le Roux was crowned Miss SA 2024, and Adetshina congratulated the winner and other participant.
On Monday afternoon, it circulated various social media platforms that Chidinma Vanessa Adetshina tried to commit suicide.
“It has been reported that Chidimma Onwe Adetshina made a desperate attempt to end her life. This was as a result of both online and offline bully about her participation in the just concluded Miss South Africa 2024,” a blog wrote.
If this is true, that means she is not seeing the opportunity in this fame. It’s unfortunate.
