The battle between both countries has become an annual event, but the ongoing rivalry was sparked by Chidinma Adetshina’s identity – She contested for the Miss SA title but was cancelled by South Africans due to her father’s nationality which is Nigeria.
She withdrew from the competition and joined Miss Universe Nigeria, which has further fueled the social media bant between both countries.
