Rapper Saudi urges South Africans to stop being xenophobic

South African rapper Saudi has spoken out against xenophobia in a powerful message to his fellow South Africans.

The rapper took to social media to express his views on the importance of unity and solidarity across the African continent.

In his post, Saudi passionately declared, “Xenophobia Must Fall. Let’s Love, Protect and Respect our Mzansi. But Let’s Not be Africans ONLY when we’re in exile. Africa We are One.”

His words come as a strong call for an end to xenophobic attitudes and actions, urging South Africans to embrace their African brothers and sisters, regardless of nationality.

Saudi’s message comes during the heated exchange better South Africans and Nigerians which has been ongoing for over a month due to the former Miss SA finalist, Chidinma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina.

However, the rapper’s tweet didn’t sit well with a majority of his followers.

As an influential figure in South African hip-hop, Saudi’s message is a reminder of the power of music and public figures to inspire change and foster a sense of community. By calling for an end to xenophobia and promoting unity, Saudi is urging everyone to recognize the shared humanity and interconnectedness that binds all Africans together.
