Mzambiya, real name Nkosinathi Zwane, announced his exit from music.
The Kwaito artist has been off the radar for years which made fans presume he had quit, but he recently announced his resignation.
“I am writing to formally resign from my position as a recording artist.”
“After much consideration, I have decided to take a different direction in my career and pursue new opportunities. However, Earth Nurture Records still continues unearthing new talent and releasing music as we have promised.”
The musician expressed gratitude for the support received since he started his music years ago.
“I’m truly grateful for all the love since my debut in the year 2000,’ he said. “I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the valuable experience and all I’ve learned about the showbiz community. Thank you for your support and understanding.”
Mzambiya is known for songs like Mele Senzeni and Jersey Number 10. From, Zola, Soweto, he is one of the most famous Kwaito recording artists who pioneered the genre.
