Gayton endorses Chris Brown’s concert in SA

Minister Gayton McKenzie encourages South Africans to attend Chris Brown’s concert amid a petition to have the show cancelled.

The Women For Change organisation started a petition weeks ago, urging people to sign due to Chris’ record of being a women’s abuser.

The petition divided South Africans, as some people supported the organisation, while others slammed it.

During his media briefing last week, the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture minister mentioned the US music star, and endorsed the concert.

Gayton McKenzie said: “South Africans love dancing. Chris Brown’s concert was sold out in two hours. Our people are hungry for international acts”.

He added: “Don’t go any further, go to the Chris Brown concert.”

Meanwhile, Chris is unbothered about the petition, as he recently dropped a comment on a post by the organisation.

“I can’t wait to come,” he wrote.
