Why you should clean your makeup brushes often

Cleaning your makeup brushes is an essential part of your beauty hygiene and regime.
To get a clean and flawless makeup look, cleaning your makeup brushes is highly important. Our makeup brushes are the breeding ground of bacteria and germs that cannot be visible to our naked eye.
These invisible bacteria get trapped in the bristles because of the product residue, dead skin cells, dust, and other small particles, which ultimately clog the pores creating infection, acne breakouts, irritation, and redness issues.
How to clean your makeup brushes at home
Step 1: Wet your brush under lukewarm water and simply use your finger to separate the bristles to further rinse out the remaining makeup.

Step 2: Try to wash your brush with antibacterial soap and then gently massage the tips and bottom of the bristles with your fingertips and create a lather. Put the brush under lukewarm water and repeat this process 3-4 times.

Step 3: Make sure you rinse it thoroughly while gently pressing the bristles and remove the excess water by squeezing the bottom and tips gently.

Step 4: Now, take a dry-soft towel, press the bristles between your fingers, reshape the brush to its original shape, and let it dry under natural light.

Step 5: You can also air dry the brush, but do not dry your brushes upright as it will break down the adhesive that connects the brush because of the moisture that would break the bristles.

How often should you clean your makeup brushes?

Always remember to never share your brushes with anyone and clean them every two weeks. Do not overdo the process as it will result in breakage of the bristles. But, remember to prevent suffering from breakouts, infections, and acne issues every day, one must clean their beauty blenders, puffs, and makeup brushes every two weeks which would be economical and hygienic as well.
