Businessman and socialite Edwin Sodi is making waves in the nightlife industry with the expansion of his LIV nightclub brand.
Following his acquisition of a stake in LIV Sandton (formerly Taboo) last year after a legal dispute with his partners, Sodi is now taking his ambitions to the Mother City.
LIV Cape Town is set to open on November 29 on Bree Street, promising to be the next big celebrity hotspot.
Sources close to the venture confirmed Sodi’s major role in the new establishment.
“He owns the place now. It’s a done deal. He’s been finalizing everything this month. The idea came about earlier this year, and he’s thrilled with how it’s shaping up,” one insider revealed.
Another source shared insights into Sodi’s approach: “Over the last three months, he’s been dropping subtle hints about his involvement. Cape Town nightlife will never be the same. Edwin knows the business inside out. With the success of LIV Sandton, there’s no doubt the Cape Town club will follow suit. We’re gearing up for an unforgettable summer launch.”
