Popular sangomas and reality TV stars Makgotso “Gogo Maweni” Mokopo and Patricia “Gogo Skhotheni” Motsoeneng have officially made amends following a year-long feud.
Their conflict, which included weeks of heated exchanges on TikTok, saw the two trading insults about wearing fake designer brands, questioning the sexuality of their husbands, and disputing the legitimacy of their businesses.
However, the pair recently went live on TikTok to announce that they had resolved their differences after a private conversation.
“If you see me with her, don’t feel like she didn’t talk to me on the side. There are certain things we won’t entertain, but we came to the conclusion that I never did anything to her and she never did anything to me. The foundation of the conflict between us was based on lies,” Gogo Skhotheni explained.
Gogo Maweni expressed her embarrassment over the public fallout and shared her relief at finally putting the drama behind them.
“The moral of the story is if you have an issue, call me. If I have an issue, I will call you. It didn’t have to go as far as it went, but I am happy that we were able to talk and resolve the issue as adults. I do apologise; I do see my wrongs.”
In a touching moment, Gogo Skhotheni extended her apology to Gogo Maweni’s husband, saying, “We can’t erase what we said to each other, but we can apologise. I’d like to make a formal apology to your husband. I miss you.”
The reconciliation marks the end of a tumultuous chapter and highlights the power of communication and accountability in resolving conflicts.
