Minnie Dlamini shines on Under 30 Forbes Africa cover

Minnie Dlamini shines on Forbes Africa’s digital cover.

The South African star made it to the 30 Under 50 annual list of Forbes.

Minnie opened up to Forbes about the industry, her goal, and her career, while sharing her journey of reinvention and resilience.

“What I want women in entertainment to know is that I don’t want them to be limited by just being on screen,” says the South African actor and TV personality.

“There’s so much more in this industry. But more than that though, I want people to look at my journey and realize that I didn’t do things conventionally. I didn’t do things the same way everyone did.”

However, X users slammed the cover and even labelled her all sorts of hideous names in the comment.

A tweep wrote, “Home wrecker.”

“Why ? How ? You are not under 30 and definitely not in the top 30 brilliant minds under 30,” another commented.

An X user wrote, “Picture choice is giving “Diary of a mad Black woman” They could have chosen something more professional and boss lady like. I think you are surely making good moves in your career. Congratulations.”

Another comment reads, “These awards lost my respect when I realised people submit for themselves and pay for it.”
