Mawhoo calls out Life Fourways hospital for alleged poor treatment
South African singer Mawhoo has taken to social media to express her frustration over what she describes as poor service at Life Fourways Hospital.
Posting on her Facebook account, the vocalist criticized the hospital’s treatment of patients, saying they were rude and dismissive towards her.
“LIFE FOURWAYS HOSPITAL service is very poor. They treat people like dogs. I’ve never been embarrassed like that. Ey labantu ababazi abantu & it’s not the first time benza kanje,” she wrote.
Mawhoo further alleged that hospital staff prioritized white patients over Black ones, sharing that her cousin, who was struggling to breathe, was ignored while a white couple who arrived later received immediate attention.
“My cousin is very sick, she can barely breathe, but instead, they are rude and ignoring us, entertaining the white couple who came after her.”
She expressed her disappointment, stating that she expected better from a private hospital.
“I’m still shocked because I thought private hospitals would assist faster. When we told them we needed help, they asked where we were rushing to. Some people are so disrespectful. The only people they prioritize are white people. I don’t wish anyone to experience this,” she added.
