Tyla reaches milestone on Spotify
Tyla’s success has gone from monthly to weekly and now to daily, as she makes history on Spotify.
The South African singer’s first hit major hit record Water has garnered her multiple wins, and the latest is historical as it makes the her the first African artist to have a song reach 1 billion streams.
The comment section of the post garnered mixed reactions; while some congratulated the award-winning singer, other mentioned other artists who are believed to have hit such record.
Some online users mentioned Rema, for his single hit song Calm Down, but it was said in response that the song featured another international artist.
Nigerian singer Oxlade was also mentioned in the comment.
