Unathi Nkayi represents South Africa with pride at Havana Book Fair in Cuba
Unathi Nkayi proudly flew the South African flag high at the Havana Book Fair in Cuba, sharing her journey with fans every step of the way.
The multi-talented star made the most of her time at the prestigious event, posting photos and videos that captured her excitement.
One of her standout moments was performing in the presence of the Cuban president, a milestone she described as an unforgettable honor.
“I had the honour of performing for the president of Cuba on the day of our arrival as the guests of honour for the HAVANA BOOK FAIR here in Cuba,” she shared.
“I arrived in Cuba this week as part of the first official South African delegation for literature and am part of the 15 authors who have been asked to facilitate workshops for the two weeks we are here. As an author, composer, and television producer, this is an honour that I will NEVER forget.”
Unathi also expressed gratitude to Minister Gayton McKenzie for trusting her with the opportunity.
“I performed for the President of Cuba at The Havana Fair opening. LOOK AT GOD🥺😩💯♥️🇨🇺 🇿🇦 I did so barefoot🙏🏾 as a sign of respect,” she captioned a video of her performance.
