Mampintsha’s sister claims ‘Uthando Lodumo’ was staged
Late gqom star Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo’s sister, Pinky Gumede, has made shocking claims about his marriage to Babes Wodumo, alleging that key moments from Uthando Lodumo were not real.
Speaking in an interview, Gumede accused the show’s producers of funding everything, from lobola payments to wedding outfits, insisting that Mampintsha was broke at the time.
She alleged that Showmax and Parental Advisory Production (PAP), the company behind the reality show, covered all expenses to make it a success.
“Initially, we were never informed about the wedding. We found out very late that they were getting married, and by that time, it was too late to discuss anything. We didn’t want to embarrass Mampintsha, so we decided to go with the flow,” she said.
According to her, the production team even took them shopping for wedding outfits.
“We were rushed to a mall, where they picked and paid for our clothes. Showmax and the production were covering those costs. I know this because they were the ones choosing and paying,” she claimed.
