
Musa Khawula still in jail
Controversial blogger Musa Khawula will continue his time in custody after the Randburg Magistrate’s Court postponed his case to March 19.
Despite being in jail, his Twitter account remains active, regularly posting updates and commentary.
He tweeted on Thursday, soliciting for donations from online users; he also explained the situation that landed him in jail.
Khawula appeared briefly in court today, facing charges that include hate speech, crimen injuria, and contravention of Section 19 of the Cybercrimes Act of 2020.
During a previous court session, he voluntarily chose to forgo his bail application, opting to remain behind bars as his legal battle unfolds.
Following this update, online users expressed shock about Musa being behind jail, as a majority assumed he has gained freedom following his reeturn to social media.
