Murumba Pitch terminate their partnership
Amapiano duo Murumba Pitch, made up of Thabang Innocent Mangolo and Emmanuel Nanga Manthye, has officially announced their separation.
Originally founded in 2012 by rapper Chifo Charge, the group later transitioned under Thabang’s leadership and gained international recognition.
Over the years, they collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry, including De Mthuda, Nkosazana Daughter, and Kabza De Small.
However, their journey together has come to an end.
A close friend shared insight into their split, stating, “Friends and colleagues fight; it’s normal, but they just reached a breaking point where they can’t resolve matters. They have different visions; I think they fulfilled their purpose as a duo; it was maybe the right time to just pursue solo careers.”
Confirming the news, the Wena Dali and Esangweni hitmakers expressed sadness over the decision.
After a meeting on 6 March, both parties mutually agreed to dissolve their partnership and contractual ties with immediate effect.
In a joint statement, they shared, “The decision marks a new chapter, and both parties are respectively committed to moving forward independently, focusing on new opportunities and future endeavours.”
They also assured fans that they would collaborate to ensure a fair and amicable division of business interests under the Murumba Pitch brand.
While bookings for the duo have been halted, Thabang clarified that previously scheduled performances would still go ahead.
“Those who have booked us for the future should not panic; we will still rock. We also have new music coming out; we are right here,” he reassured.
