Bonang Matheba remains firm on Rea Gopane defamation case
Bonang Matheba is not backing down in her legal battle against former podcaster Rea Gopane over defamation.
The media personality took legal action against Rea after he made damaging claims about her on his podcast in 2021, alleging that she introduced the late AKA to cocaine.
Following the court ruling, Rea was ordered to pay R300,000 in damages, along with legal fees.
Despite the judgment, Bonang recently revealed that she has yet to receive the payment. Taking to Twitter, she made it clear that she intends to collect what is owed.
“Good. I WILL receive every single cent,” she tweeted.
Her statement quickly sparked debate online, with some calling her relentless, while others supported her pursuit of justice.

Bonang Matheba further advised people on how to avoid trouble and debt.
“Learn to mind your own business. Keeps you out of trouble & out of debt,” she wrote.
