Influencer Mandisi bags an award
South African content creator Mandisi Tshingana has officially been honoured with the Emerge Africa Humanitarian Award.
Well known for his humorous social media content and puzzle-solving enthusiasm, Mandisi has recently been making waves for something far greater: his growing commitment to philanthropy.
With a large and dedicated online following, he’s turned social influence into a tool for real impact — launching and leading fundraising campaigns that have changed lives.
Among his most notable efforts are campaigns for actress Brenda Ngxoli and former Big Brother Mzansi contestant Uyanda Hlangabezo.
His current drive for Uyanda has already raised over R100,000, aiming to reach a goal of R500,000 by month-end.
Reacting to the award, Mandisi took to social media with a heartfelt message.
He described the win as not only a personal achievement, but a moment that belonged to everyone who has supported him along the way.
“This moment isn’t just about me,” he wrote. “It’s a celebration of the power of community, compassion, and collective action. This award belongs to the people.”
Mandisi went on to thank his family, friends, and online supporters, crediting them as the force behind his strength.
He emphasized that the real value of the fundraising efforts wasn’t just in rands raised — but in the restoration of hope, dignity, and humanity.
“We’ve proven that extraordinary things can be achieved when we come together,” he said.
Mandisi also credited social media as a critical tool in their journey, enabling strangers to come together for meaningful causes.
He encouraged others to never underestimate the power of small gestures — from making donations to simply offering words of encouragement.
