Celeste Ntuli wins Comedian of the Year award
African comedy powerhouse Celeste Ntuli is basking in the glory of a milestone moment after clinching the Comedian of the Year title at the 12th Savanna Comics Choice Comedy Awards.
The star-studded event took place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at The Lyric Theatre in Gold Reef City, Johannesburg.
The award comes at a deeply meaningful point in Ntuli’s journey, as she marks two decades in the comedy industry.
Taking to Instagram to share her excitement, the actress and stand-up queen posted photos of herself accepting the award in a stunning Amelia Wearhouse ensemble.
“Grateful. Last night was magic. I am the Comedian of the Year 2025,” she wrote.
“Celebrating 20 years as a comedian, this couldn’t have come at a better time. God’s timing is perfect timing! Delayed, not denied!”
