Gospel singer and founder of the Lusanda Spiritual Group, Lusanda Mcinga, is reportedly battling severe health complications that have left her bedridden and unable to stand without assistance.
The music veteran is said to be in agonising pain and in urgent need of surgery, but the road to recovery has been anything but smooth.
Speaking candidly about her condition, Mcinga revealed that she’s been suffering from intense pain in her waist, neck, and back.
The discomfort, she explained, stems from a serious spinal issue where cartilage is missing between the bones in her back.
“Two discs need to be repaired in my back,” she said, highlighting the severity of her condition.
Despite undergoing an MRI scan back in 2021, Mcinga has yet to be scheduled for surgery. Doctors remain hopeful but have insisted on conducting further tests to determine the next step in her treatment plan.
To manage the pain, Mcinga relies heavily on strong medication, but it only brings temporary relief. “I am always on strong painkillers,” she said. “They just make me sleep. When I wake up, the pain is back.”
Her current situation is made even more difficult by the backlash she faced in 2022 when she publicly asked for donations to help with her struggles. After the negative response, the singer is now hesitant to reach out for help again, despite her deteriorating health.
