Ugandan Salons Urged to Pay Masechaba Ndlovu for Using Her Image
South African media personality and former government spokesperson Masechaba Ndlovu has found herself at the center of unexpected viral attention — this time from Uganda.
In a video recently shared by MDN News, a Ugandan woman highlighted how Masechaba’s image is being widely used across salon doors and beauty shops in the country without her consent. According to the woman, Masechaba’s photo is so popular that it appears “on almost every salon door.”
“Who is this woman? Wherever you are from, I want you to know that Ugandan salons have used your picture everywhere. It’s on almost every door. You could make generational wealth if you asked them to pay you,” the woman said in the clip, encouraging Masechaba to pursue financial compensation for the unauthorized use of her image.
As of now, Masechaba Ndlovu has not publicly responded to the video or the calls for her to take legal action.
A Ugandan woman is curious to know who Masechaba Ndlovu is, as her picture appears in nearly every salon.
