Mzansi concerned as Thembisa Nxumalo remains silent about Anele Mdoda’s wedding
Thembisa Nxumalo’s notable absence from her sister Anele Mdoda’s engagement celebration has left many social media users puzzled.
As Anele and her fiancé Buzza James hosted loved ones at their Fourways engagement party on Saturday, 10 May, all eyes were on the glamorous affair, and on who wasn’t there.
While close friends like Sizwe Dhlomo showed up to toast the couple, Thembisa was nowhere in sight.
Even more surprising was her silence on the engagement itself.
Instead of acknowledging her sister’s milestone publicly, Thembisa took to social media to celebrate someone else’s special day: her friend Kayise Nolufefe Ngqula’s birthday.
“Happy blessed birthday, mntase❤️🥹🙏🏽…@KayiseNgqula 🤩💐🎉,” she posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, 13 May.

While fans also noted the absence of Anele’s well-known friends Trevor Noah and Khaya Dlanga, it was Thembisa’s missing presence that raised the most eyebrows, particularly because they’re family.
