Naledi Aphiwe and Mawelele reportedly split
Award-winning singer Naledi Aphiwe has sparked breakup rumours after sharing a tearful video on TikTok, fuelling speculation about the end of her alleged relationship with fellow artist Mawelele.
The two had previously ignited romance rumours with their collaboration Romeo and Juliet, posting a series of affectionate photos that had fans convinced their chemistry extended beyond the studio.
Although neither of them publicly confirmed a relationship, fans long believed they were an item, until Naledi’s latest post seemed to tell a different story.
The singer shared an emotional montage of herself in tears, accompanied by a cryptic caption directed at a cheating boyfriend.
It didn’t take long for social media detectives to assume she was referring to Mawelele.
One particularly striking line in her post read: “Even if you can build a man a house in the clouds, he will still get a parachute to come down and cheat on you.”
The post set off a wave of reactions online, with many fans expressing concern and offering words of support.
One follower pointed to comments allegedly made by Mawelele during an Instagram Live session, writing: “Did you watch Mawelele’s live? Yoh! Judging from what he was saying, I don’t think he truly loved you. Askies, you will be ok.”
Naledi’s response was as revealing as it was heartbreaking: “Lol, yeah, he never loved me. Maybe there was something that he was looking to gain, and he got it. Good for him.”
