Tyla shines ahead of Kids’ Choice Awards 2025
Tyla has been announced as the official host of the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
The South African star is set to lead the high-energy celebration, making history as the first African to host the beloved children’s awards show.
The event will air on Wednesday, 25 June at 17:00 CAT on Nickelodeon (DStv channel 305), broadcasting from the iconic Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
The show promises a vibrant mix of celebrity appearances, wild stunts, high-energy music performances, and, of course, Nickelodeon’s signature slime moments.
Tyla isn’t just hosting, she’s also in the running for two awards herself: Favorite Global Music Star and Favorite Music Collaboration.
She joins an exciting nominee list that includes first-time contenders like Gracie Abrams, Zach Bryan, Florence Pugh, and Shohei Ohtani. Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, and Kendrick Lamar lead with four nominations each.
