Musa Khawula drops harsh comments about actor Presley Chweneyagae after death
South Africa was left in mourning following the sudden death of actor Presley Chweneyagae on Tuesday, 27 May 2025.
The 40-year-old star, best known for his iconic role in Tsotsi and his more recent work on The River, passed away unexpectedly, with the cause of death yet to be disclosed.
While tributes poured in from heartbroken fans and industry colleagues who celebrated his talent and contribution to local entertainment, controversy erupted when notorious celebrity blogger Musa Khawula shared a scathing and unapologetic post on social media.
Khawula, who is currently behind bars, accused Chweneyagae of being an absent father.
In his harsh message, he wrote: “Deadbeat to his 19-year-old daughter; Presley Chweneyagae who preferred to squander all his money on alcohol and hoes meanwhile her daughter was struggling has passed away at the age of 40.”

His remarks instantly caused a stir online.
While some netizens found his comments brutally honest, others slammed him for targeting someone who had just passed and could no longer defend themselves.
One user fired back at Khawula’s post, saying, “And you will remain behind bars. Hating and being vile won’t lead to your release.”
Another added a sarcastic jab: “For you to get Shebeshxt as a cell mate 🕯️🕯️🕯️.”
Despite the backlash, Khawula’s post gained traction.
