Nonku Williams dumps reality TV show ‘RHOD’

Popular reality TV star and influencer Nonku Williams has officially announced her departure from The Real Housewives of Durban, leaving fans in disbelief.

The businesswoman and influencer shared the unexpected news on her Instagram account on Sunday, 1 June, revealing that she would not be returning for the upcoming season or attending the reunion.

Nonku, who has long been a fan-favourite, opened up about the emotional decision, saying, “It’s not an easy choice, but it’s one I must make. Watching myself on screen, I’m confronted with a reality that’s hard to accept.”

She went on to admit that the version of herself portrayed on the show no longer aligns with who she is.

“The woman I see isn’t someone I recognise or respect,” she added, noting that while she played a role in shaping her on-screen image, she was also influenced by the show’s dynamics.

Nonku Williams further expressed gratitude to fans who have been supportive of her on the show.

“To those who’ve supported me throughout this journey, I’m grateful. I acknowledge my part in the chaos, but I also recognize the show’s role in shaping our narratives. I’m choosing to break free from this cycle, to seek a path that uplifts and inspires. I’m choosing to use my platform to spread love, kindness, and positivity.”

She concluded: “I’m choosing to be a role model for my children and for others who may be watching. I’m choosing to prioritize my well-being and to take care of myself. I’m choosing to be authentic, to be true to myself, and to live a life that reflects my values.”
