A-Reece trolls Cassper Nyovest with fake diss track after podcast shade
A-Reece has finally responded to Cassper Nyovest’s recent comments, but not in the way fans expected. Cassper sparked controversy earlier this week during an interview on the L-Tido Podcast, where he referred to A-Reece’s career as “niche” and questioned his overall impact in South Africa. The comments quickly went viral, with fans and fellow artists weighing in on what many see as an unprovoked jab. In response, A-Reece turned to X (formerly Twitter) with a subtle yet bold post, rallying his supporters, affectionately known as Slimes, by tweeting: “a ba re tshabe slimes 💔” Loosely translated from Setswana, it means: “They must fear us, Slimes.”

But things took an unexpected turn the next day. Reece shared a link with the caption: “so be it. ‘Cassper’s Interview’ Freestyle OUT NOW💔” Fans rushed to click, anticipating a fiery diss track aimed at Cassper. Instead, they were met with a playful surprise. The link led to a simple message that read: “Phaaa!!! Got you🤣”

The unexpected twist left many disappointed, but also entertained. While some were hoping for lyrical retaliation, others applauded Reece’s cheeky sense of humour.

Whether or not he’ll release an actual track addressing the situation remains to be seen, but for now, the “Slimes” are enjoying the moment.
