Nota Baloyi slams Cassper Nyovest

Nota Baloyi reacts to Cassper Nyovest’s controversial remarks on A-Reece’s music career and other personalities he trolled on L-Tido’s podcast.

Taking to social media, Nota didn’t hold back in his scathing criticism of Cassper, blasting the rapper for what he sees as petty distractions in the face of real national problems.

“Sad Cassper went to L-Tido to discuss stupid immature nonsense,” he wrote. “Our country is tearing at the seams, & all he has to offer is beefing with A-Reece. Nah, grootman tsa lona tse childish, smh!”

His comments came shortly after Cassper’s viral appearance on The L-Tido Podcast, where he described A-Reece’s career as “niche” and questioned the rapper’s impact across South Africa.

The statement immediately sparked backlash, with Reece fans rallying in his defense—and now Nota adding a layer of social commentary to the mix.

For Nota, this is about more than just industry drama. His frustration centers on how public figures like Cassper use their influence.

Instead of addressing the pressing challenges facing South Africa, from load shedding and poverty to political instability, he feels they’re choosing petty feuds over meaningful discourse.

Referring to Cassper as a “grootman,” a term reserved for respected elders, he made it clear that the rapper’s behavior is, in his view, anything but mature.
