Nicki Minaj celebrates her South African fans
Nicki Minaj recently showed appreciation to her South African fans after discovering that her track Banned From NO (Remix) with Lil Wayne had reached number one on iTunes South Africa.
The rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) to acknowledge the love she’s receiving from Mzansi, and her post quickly sparked excitement among local fans.
Known for her strong connection with her fanbase, Nicki didn’t hold back when expressing her gratitude.
“If it’s 1️⃣ thing my South African Barbz gon do it’s show TF out! Love you 🎀🫶🏽 🇿🇦,” she wrote.
The shoutout came shortly after her powerful performance with Lil Wayne at the 2025 BET Awards, where the duo performed the chart-topping remix.
That same performance made headlines for what appeared to be subtle shots fired at Jay-Z, but it was the love to her South African supporters that had local social media buzzing.
Fans flooded the comments with excitement, urging Nicki to consider bringing a tour to South Africa.
One fan wrote, “They deserve a tour date Queen,” while another added, “We love you so much, and the day you decide to do a stadium tour, trust and believe South African Barbz would fill up FNB stadium.”
