Mpho Popps video about Presley’s memorial service labeled insensitive

Mpho Popps has been dragged by social media users for joking about Presley Chweneyagae’s memorial service.

The actor passed away in May; his death sent a huge shock wave across the industry.

Friends, fans and colleagues recently paid their respect to the late Presley who blessed Mzansi’s screen with his talent.

However, Comedian Mpho who is fond of imitating other personalities found himself in hot water after imitating a moment from Presley’s memorial service .

He edited the background of the video with photos of the late veteran actor.

The video wasn’t embraced by a majority as he was cancelled for pulling such shortly after the actor’s passing.

See some of the reactions below:

“Trying to maintain a dying career with a dead person is crazy business Mpho.”

“Too soon…and I don’t need to look at the video. Come on seriously you have nothing else copy?”

However, a few supported the comedian.

“Looking at the comments here I don’t know if we are a sensitive society or we just have a comprehension problem. …. Mpho Popps is a comedian for fuck sake. Presley is no more and no one will bring him back. If it is not fun for you then watch what’s funny for you. Let us watch Mpho,” a user wrote.

Another wrote: “Nah not too soon bro…. You’re comedians. Do what you have to do to entertain us. Whoever has a problem will go to the nearest police 👮‍♀️ station.”
