Tamia Mpisane mocked amid Shauwn Mkhize’s financial fall
Tamia Mpisane is trending for all the wrong reasons after news broke that her mother-in-law, Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize’s luxury vehicles are heading for auction.
The social media backlash has been swift, with many accusing Tamia of marrying into wealth that is now slipping through her fingers.
Known for living a quiet life of luxury since tying the knot with Andile Mpisane in 2021, Tamia has often shared glimpses of her lavish lifestyle on social media.
But that picture-perfect life is now being overshadowed by her in-laws’ financial woes, as the South African Revenue Services continues its clampdown on the Mkhize family assets.
Earlier this year, SARS reportedly seized Royal AM, and now, MaMkhize’s prized car collection is being sold off, moves believed to recover tax debt.
These developments have led many online to speculate that Tamia’s days of luxury could be numbered.
One user on X, @kuanele, didn’t hold back: “Marrying into a family for money and having to deal with a child-husband, only for the family to start losing their wealth, would irritate me so bad.”
Despite her low-key presence, Tamia has seemingly been loyal to her husband’s family, even standing by MaMkhize during a reported police raid, which allegedly led to her own arrest.
But the sympathy from the public is running thin. Another user, @LesediMS_, summed it up bluntly: “Now you have two kids and an empty bag!”
Others echoed similar sentiments, expressing concern for Tamia’s future.
@Sleeweezy posted, “I hope the poor girl has been saving all these years,” while @LuKayMampuru added, “The real mess here is her leaving this entire situation with kids.”
