Stephanie Ndlovu opens up about healing after divorce from Hungani

Stephanie Ndlovu has spoken candidly about navigating pain and healing following her divorce from actor Hungani Ndlovu.

The couple confirmed their separation in a joint statement released on Sunday, 22 June 2025, officially ending their six-year marriage and sparking waves of reaction across social media.

While the statement was brief, Stephanie later offered deeper insight into how she’s been coping emotionally and spiritually during this chapter of her life.

On the season finale of Friendship Frequency, the podcast she co-hosts with longtime friend and actress Petronella Tshuma, the conversation took an unexpectedly personal turn.

Responding to a heartfelt letter from a listener who shared their own experience with childhood trauma, Stephanie opened up about her own past.

She revealed that she, too, is a survivor of sexual abuse, and reflected on how her faith continues to guide her through life’s most painful moments, including the end of her marriage.

“What I do know and what I am absolutely convinced of is that I am never alone and I have never been alone and I have never felt alone,” she said.

“Because even in the deepest, deepest, deepest, deepest place of either like sadness, depression or whatever, I have always leaned on the fact that God is right there with me.”

For Stephanie, healing isn’t about avoiding pain, it’s about finding peace within it.

She explained: “I think that for me, healing looks like peace. And peace is not the absence of emotion and sad days and life things. Peace is despite the chaos, despite the heartache, despite the struggle… I know you are God. And I know that your thoughts toward me are good.”

She added, “If I believe that you are sovereign… and if you are good, and those two go together, then whatever my circumstances are will still work out for my good. And I stand very firm on that truth. It is the one truth that nobody can take away from me. Nothing and no one. I do not care how upside down the world might get.”
