BBonang Matheba shuts down breakup rumours with sweet holiday reveal
Bonang Matheba has put an end to swirling rumours about her relationship status with a simple but telling update.
Speculation that the media personality and her boyfriend, David Phume, had called it quits began a few days ago after fans noticed that the pair had unfollowed each other on social media.
Fueling the gossip, controversial blogger Musa Khawula claimed that David’s absence at Bonang’s 38th birthday dinner, reportedly organised by her mother, Charlotte Mokoena, was further proof of a split.
“Bonang Matheba has been dating David Phume but last night David Phume was nowhere to be seen to celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday,” Musa noted.
“You would also notice that David Phume and Bonang Matheba have unfollowed each other on social media.”
But just as the rumours gained momentum, Queen B took to her X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday with a post that silenced the chatter.
She wrote, “…my man said, holidayyyyy!! ✈️ 🇯🇵,” confirming that not only are they still together, but they’re also jetting off on a romantic getaway.
