Lemogang Tsipa set to dump acting for music
Lemogang Tsipa is ready to take a bold step away from the screen and into the studio.
The acclaimed actor, best known for his portrayal of Shaka Zulu in the hit series Shaka iLembe, has revealed plans to step back from acting once the show concludes in order to fully pursue a music career.
In a recent interview with Daily Sun, Tsipa confirmed that he’s preparing to release music that introduces a brand-new genre.
While he’s keeping the sound under wraps for now, he hinted that the music will carry strong South African influences and reflect the country’s rich cultural identity.
“As soon as this show (Shaka iLembe) is done, I’m going to start releasing my music,” he shared.
“We’ve been cooking something really fresh, a brand-new genre that I created with a couple of friends.”
Far from a solo venture, Tsipa’s project features collaborations with established names in the industry, including renowned vocalist Mbuso Khoza and soulful songstress Moneoa.
He’s also worked with other artists whose names he’s choosing to keep secret, at least for now.
