Abdul Khoza pulls out of Fists of Fame boxing match
Abdul Khoza has officially pulled out of the upcoming Fists of Fame celebrity boxing match, where he was scheduled to face rapper Chad Da Don on 26 July at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg.
The popular actor made the announcement on Friday via social media, disappointing fans who were eager to see him step into the ring for the highly anticipated bout.
According to Abdul, his decision to withdraw comes after receiving new professional opportunities that he couldn’t turn down.
“I know many of you were looking forward to seeing me in the ring… Unfortunately, I won’t be participating this time around,” he wrote.
“Life threw me a few exciting commitments that I couldn’t say no to… I’ll still be cheering from the sidelines and sending love to all the stars stepping into the ring!”
Though he didn’t provide details on his new projects, Abdul expressed his appreciation for the continued support from fans and hinted that more exciting developments are on the way.
The fight, which had sparked major buzz online, was announced last month, with Chad Da Don confirming the face-off and promising to bring his A-game to the ring.
With Abdul now out, it remains to be seen whether a replacement will be named or if plans for the match will shift.
