Minnie Ntuli cancelled for poking Londie London on RHOD

Minenhle “Minnie” Ntuli is facing mounting pressure from the public following a dramatic clash with singer and reality TV star Londie London on The Real Housewives of Durban.

The confrontation, which aired during the show’s fifth season, has triggered a wave of backlash, including a petition demanding her dismissal from both Gagasi FM and the television series.

The heated moment between the radio presenter and her co-star saw Ntuli shouting at Londie and poking her repeatedly in the forehead while accusing her of being disrespectful.

It began when Ntuli aggressively threw down a scatter cushion and lashed out at Londie, labelling her a “mean girl” and claiming she had disrespected her family.

Londie, despite the tension, remained composed and responded by accusing Ntuli of being a bully.

As the fallout from the episode unfolded, many viewers expressed shock at Ntuli’s behaviour, with some calling it unacceptable and harmful.

On Friday, Gagasi FM released a statement confirming Ntuli had accepted full responsibility for her actions.

The station said she had issued a formal apology to the cast and crew of RHOD, which will be aired during the upcoming reunion special.

“Minnie is sorry,” the station said in part, noting that she is seeking professional help to better manage her emotions.

“Our focus is on promoting reconciliation. Both Minnie and the other cast member are professionals in the media industry, and it is likely they will work together again in future. As a station, we are committed to supporting a process that encourages healing, forgiveness and mutual respect.”

Despite the apology, the incident has stirred public concern over Ntuli’s presence on the show and her continued role as co-host of The Rising, Gagasi FM’s early morning show.

Critics believe her actions promote toxic behaviour, especially in a reality TV setting.

One viewer commented on the station’s statement, saying: “I thought I will find the word ‘FIRED’ in this letter.”

An online petition created on change.org demanding Ntuli’s removal from both her radio and television roles has already attracted nearly 20,000 verified signatures.

The petition describes her conduct as “violent” and says her behaviour sends the wrong message to the audience.

“We urge the producers of RHOD to remove Minnie Ntuli from the show to signal that violence will not be tolerated,” the petition states. “

Additionally, Gagasi FM must review and address the conduct of their employee to maintain integrity and trust with their audience and sponsors.”

While the underlying reason for the tension between Ntuli and Londie remains unclear, their on-screen dynamic throughout season five has raised eyebrows, with many describing the feud as one-sided and increasingly hostile.
