Emtee has addressed the controversy surrounding his leaked private messages with former Big Brother Mzansi housemate Mshini, which recently set social media abuzz.
The leaked exchange fueled speculation about the rapper’s alleged affairs, but in a statement, Emtee firmly dismissed the rumours, insisting he had “nothing to do with the women” mentioned.
Clarifying his connection to Mshini, he explained that he doesn’t know her personally but wanted to meet her because of the way she endorsed him while on the reality show.
“I do not know Mshini personally. Like most people, I watched her on Big Brother and witnessed how she supports my craft. This is something rare for me to see because I never know where I stand with people or how people feel about me,” he wrote.
The Roll Up hitmaker stressed that his interest was purely professional, noting he is a married man.
“I know I’m not perfect — very far from it — but I have heart and empathy. My intention was to meet her personally and thank her. She has been nothing but kind to me and I appreciated that. I’m ‘married’ so I had no other intention but to say thank you and figure out a way we could work together since she is a public figure, a hard worker and a good person in general from what I see.”
Emtee went on to apologise to Mshini, saying he was not responsible for making the private chat public.
“I would like to extend an apology to Mshini, her team and loved ones. I would never intentionally expose our conversations and put her safety at risk as I prioritise safety as well. I DID NOT POST THE CONVERSATIONS.”
