Una Rams gets emotional ahead of his debut album drop
South African musician Una Rams has poured his heart into his debut album, transforming it from a simple collection of songs into a deeply personal love letter to his wife, actress Ntando Duma.
In an emotional announcement, Rams reflected on the years of dedication that led to this moment.
“I’ve waited my whole life for a time like this, countless hours, endless sessions and sleepless nights all as sacrifice to finally make it to this point,” he wrote.
According to the artist, working on Meet Me At The Alter album tested his commitment not only to his craft but also to his marriage.
Revisiting and refining the tracks over and over mirrored his willingness to invest in his relationship.
“If I could continue to refine and work on this, to me that meant I had what it took to work on myself and our relationship and really do forever,” he said.
What began as a musical project evolved into a declaration of love, capturing the couple’s journey, their wedding celebrations, and the merging of their cultures.
“It became the soundtrack to the fairytale that is our lives, a sonic museum where we could freely express, teach and celebrate our cultures coming together,” he added.
Rams describes the project as “a labour of love” and his “best work yet.”
Ntando Duma dropped a sweet reaction in the comment of the post.
“I’m beyond proud of you.❤️ This album is a masterpiece, and I’m so grateful to have been on this journey with you. Every single song is a reflection of your heart and soul, and I know the world is going to fall in love with it just like I have.”
She added, “Can’t wait to celebrate with you and see your dreams take flight. And now that you’re done cooking this album, you know what else is ready to get cooked.. a promise, is a promise!! Ayihlangane eLabour ward ke chomz😌🤣❤️ love you!”
