Glen Gabela slams stepdaughter over accusations made about his finance

Veteran actor Glen Gabela, known for his role on Uzalo, has found himself in a heated public fallout with his stepdaughter, Nonhlanhla Nsele.

What began as an emotional revelation about his financial struggles has now spiraled into a war of words, with Nsele accusing the actor of lying about his role in her late mother’s life.

In a fiery social media post, Nsele lashed out at Gabela, saying he was absent during her mother’s lifetime.

“I hate how Glen is spreading lies about my mother. It’s funny how he suddenly does interviews after she passed away. He was never there. My mother built a house and left it for us, not him. Even after her passing, he stayed away,” she wrote.

The stepdaughter also hinted at spilling even more family secrets in a podcast, accusing Gabela of tarnishing her mother’s memory.

But the actor has firmly denied the claims, insisting that Nsele’s accusations are baseless.

“I know her; she’s my stepdaughter. She was only 14 when I met her. Her real father had already passed away, so I took her in and treated her like my own,” he told Sunday World.

Gabela admitted that while they weren’t extremely close, there was never animosity.

“Her aunt raised her, but I made sure my wife and the kids were always taken care of. I don’t understand why she’s doing this or what her agenda is. I’ve even tried to reach out, but I can’t get hold of her,” he said, adding that the last he heard, she was living in Botswana.

The actor, who revealed last week that he suffered a heart attack brought on by stress and depression, said the feud has added to his emotional burden.

He also expressed a desire to confront Nsele face-to-face. “I know she wants to go on a podcast, and I want to be there too, so she can repeat those lies while looking me in the eye,” he declared.

Gabela, who has been out of work since leaving Uzalo in 2018, admitted he is financially struggling and appealed to well-wishers for help.

“I can’t even take care of myself. The industry has been cruel, and life has become a daily battle,” he confessed.
