Makhadzi speaks on caollaborating with Mzekezeke

Award-winning singer Makhadzi is celebrating the release of her new album Sesie Ka Rose, which officially drops at midnight.

But ahead of the big moment, she gave fans a glimpse into one of the funniest and most bizarre studio experiences of her career.

Taking to social media, Makhadzi revealed that she worked with kwaito legend Mzekezeke on one of the tracks, but despite recording together, she never got the chance to see him.

Known for his trademark orange ski mask and secretive persona, Mzekezeke has built his entire career on keeping his identity hidden, and he didn’t break tradition this time either.

“I don’t think I will heal from this .. my album is dropping today .. I did a song with Mzekezeke and I never got a chance to see his face .. trust me we will never see this face 😂,” Makhadzi tweeted.

She went on to explain that while she recorded her verse in the studio, security made sure no one was around when it was Mzekezeke’s turn.

“Phela I had to record my verse and when his turn comes the bouncers came and say we must go out cz no one allowed to see him 😂,” she said, adding to the amusement of fans.

The revelation had social media users in stitches, with many praising Mzekezeke for still keeping his identity under wraps in an industry where secrets rarely last.

Some fans also expressed excitement about hearing the collaboration, which brings together Makhadzi’s energetic sound and the nostalgic influence of one of kwaito’s most talked-about figures.
