Ntsiki Mazwai praises Anele Mdoda

Radio host Anele Mdoda found herself trending after a tense exchange with Democratic Alliance heavyweight Helen Zille during a live interview.

Zille, who is campaigning for the Johannesburg mayoral seat in the 2026 elections, appeared on Anele and The Club on 947 on Monday, 22 September.

What began as a routine political discussion quickly turned confrontational when Mdoda pressed her on the DA’s stance on corruption and governance.

The heated back-and-forth divided listeners, with some siding with Zille while others applauded Mdoda for refusing to back down.

Among her vocal supporters was outspoken media personality Ntsiki Mazwai, who took to X to commend Mdoda’s boldness.

“Well done Anele! As a black person, you are very much the spokesperson for black people! Well done for your bravery and honesty when it got hot in the kitchen. We see you,” Mazwai wrote.

Her post reignited online debates, with many praising Mdoda for challenging Zille while others argued that the interview became too combative.

Still, Mazwai made her stance clear, positioning Anele as a fearless voice who is unafraid to hold political leaders accountable.
