Black Coffee to host ‘Africa Is Not a Jungle’ benefit concert to uplift communities

World-renowned DJ and producer Black Coffee is set to bring his signature sound and vision back to the stage with this year’s Africa Is Not a Jungle Benefit Concert.

The event, designed to celebrate African talent while giving back to communities in need, will take place on November 8 in Durban and November 29 in Johannesburg.

For every ticket sold, R20 will be donated to the Black Coffee Foundation to help fund various community upliftment projects.

The 49-year-old Grammy winner shared that this initiative goes beyond music, aiming to make a lasting impact through creativity and compassion.

Lungi Maphumulo, head of the Black Coffee Foundation, described the concert as a fusion of entertainment and purpose.

“Each ticket sold is more than access to a once-in-a-lifetime experience; it is a contribution toward building opportunity and hope for those who need it most,” she said.

She added that the event represents a movement where “music, culture, and social responsibility converge,” offering the world a chance to witness how African creativity can drive meaningful change.

Since launching the foundation in 2010 at Maponya Mall, Soweto, Black Coffee has consistently used his influence to support charitable causes.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he raised half a million rands for relief efforts, and earlier this year, his foundation helped rebuild homes and provide aid to flood victims in Mthatha, Eastern Cape.

With Africa Is Not a Jungle, Black Coffee continues to use his platform to unite music lovers while making a tangible difference in people’s lives.
