Media personality Sol Phenduka has shared how his recent Kaya FM exit unexpectedly reached his family, revealing that his Grade 1 daughter asked if he was “kicked out” of the station after hearing it from her classmates. The former Kaya 959 presenter took to X (formerly Twitter) to express how tough it felt to deal with the fallout of his public dismissal as a parent. “Not my Grade 1 child asking whether I got kicked out at Kaya because her classmates told her I got ‘kicked out’. She already knew I no longer work there without telling her how or why. Mxim. I love my line of work, I just hate this part about it,” Sol wrote. He went on to question how such talk reaches young kids, adding: “I’m so curious about the conversations other parents have with their grade 1 kids and the tone used.” The post quickly went viral, sparking sympathy and debate online.
