Newly crowned Miss South Africa 2025, Qhawekazi Mazaleni, has expressed heartfelt gratitude following her victory at the glittering finale held at SunBet Arena in Tshwane on Saturday night.
Taking to social media shortly after being crowned, the Eastern Cape-born beauty and speech therapist shared an emotional message reflecting on her journey, her purpose, and the broader meaning behind her win.
“Ntinga Ntaka Ndini. All I have in my heart is a deep sense of gratitude. This win is not mine alone. It is for every single person who dares to take a chance on themselves and remains rooted in their purpose,” she wrote.
Mazaleni, affectionately known as Qhawe by her supporters, said her reign is about more than the crown, it’s about driving lasting change in communities.
“This is bigger than me,” she added. “As someone who has experienced the new era of Miss South Africa from within, I cannot wait to share this journey with you. Our mission is rooted in meaningful change in our communities which will continue far beyond my reign.”
The 24-year-old also acknowledged the community that has supported her throughout her journey, saying she carries their hopes and dreams into her reign.
“This journey is not mine alone to walk, but I carry this incredible community that we have formed together. May you have the courage to live in your purpose 🤍,” she concluded.
Ending her post with excitement and pride, she declared, “Bethuna, I am Miss South Africa 2025!!!”
