Generations: The Legacy star Manaka Ranaka has left many South Africans emotional after honouring her late daughter, Katlego, in a touching way.
The actress attended a graduation ceremony over the weekend, where she proudly accepted her daughter’s qualification posthumously.
Katlego Ranaka, who passed away on 23 January 2025 from natural causes, was meant to graduate with a degree in animal farming on Saturday, 8 November 2025.
Though her daughter couldn’t be there, Manaka made sure her milestone didn’t go unnoticed.
The former Isidingo and Stokvel actress shared a heartfelt video on Instagram showing the moment she accepted Katlego’s certificate on her behalf.
In her emotional caption, Manaka wrote, “Mother of a graduate🎓. So proud of you, my angel 😇. You did well. 🥰🤗. A whole qualified animal farmer.”
Fans and fellow celebrities flooded her comment section with comforting messages, praising her strength and the beautiful way she chose to celebrate her daughter’s memory.
The ceremony follows Katlego’s recent tombstone unveiling, another moment where the actress honoured her child’s life and achievements.
