Naledi Aphiwe gets emotional as she thanks fans for 47M streams

Naledi Aphiwe is ending her breakthrough year on a grateful note.

The rising South African singer took to social media to express heartfelt appreciation to the fans who have supported and streamed her music throughout 2025.

The KwaZulu-Natal-born star, who recently renovated her mother’s home, said seeing her year-end streaming statistics left her deeply moved.

Sharing her Spotify Wrapped numbers on Wednesday, 3 December 2025, Naledi revealed she reached 4.7 million listeners, 47.6 million streams, and fans in 184 countries.

“Aybo!!!🥹🫶🏿 Thank you to every single person who streamed my music, shared my songs, added me to your playlists, and carried my voice into your homes, cars, and hearts this year,” she wrote.

“Seeing these numbers… it reminds me that my gift is bigger than me. It lives because you believe in me.”

Naledi added that her supporters not only played her music, but also carried her through one of the biggest years of her career.

She celebrated Romeo & Juliet, her collaboration with Mawelele, reaching 11.5 million streams, something she still finds “unreal.”

“Every performance, every studio session, every tear, every prayer… it all makes sense when I see how much love you’ve shown me,” she continued.

“Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for seeing me. Thank you for letting my music be part of your stories. This is not the end, it’s just the beginning. I love you all, and I promise to give you even more in 2026.”
